33 Going on 13

I had the fabulous opportunity to scream my face off and generally act like a teenager again. New Kids on the Block were in town on Wednesday, and my friends and I had 12th row seats. Not as good as the last time they were in Calgary and we had 5th row, but that’s ok. I didn’t have my painted bedsheet/banner this time around either.

They put on a great show at the ‘Dome, and there were women like me everywhere. It was a super fun blast from the past. Now, the next night is when I felt a little older. We went to the sneak preview of Twilight, and I’m pretty sure we were the oldest people in the theatre. We giggled, not at the kissing like the other girls in the theatre, but some of the bad dialogue and weird-looking faces (what IS wrong with Jasper?). I actually really enjoyed the movie though, I think Robert Pattinson did a great job as Edward, even if I am old enough to be his . . . older sister.

  • Monkey - I’m 30 and went to the NKOTB concert in Atlanta…almost everyone was my age or older…it was excellent! My ears were ringing from all the screaming around me. They put on such a fun/great concert. I LOVED when they were on the platform on in the middle of everyone. 🙂

  • MsBunn.com - They’re going to perform on the 2008 American Music Awards this Sunday. Don’t forget to tune in!!! I will be watching (32yo and still cool!) 😀

  • amy little - NKOTB Forever!!! I flew to Chicago to see the concert with my 2 cousins and 2 sisters (one of which was 9 months pregnant- it was hilarious to see her bopping around to our favorite teeny-bopper band) and LOVED it! I do feel like I should have been in Stirrup stretch pants though and wearing a side ponytail. Good times!

And I totally agree about the Twilight movie. SOOOO hilarious! Jasper was ridiculously fantastically hystarical(how do you spell that?). Oh, my sides. It’s a good thing I loved the book so I can be forgiving about the movie. Enjoyable, and dang funny.
