Ah! How is spring break half over already?
As usual, I start the vacation off with so many big plans. Skating at the Oval, maybe Telus Spark and/or the Glenbow, geocaching and crafts. Oh, and some spring cleaning! (FYI – the Oval is actually closed until July for public skating)
What have we done so far? A day spent at the Children’s Hospital for what *might* have been appendicitis but was actually constipation. Oh the joys of parenting.
Some half-hearted crafts. A trip to Michaels. A dinner at Montana’s. Mountains of laundry.
I’m hoping to redeem myself this weekend though, as we are going back to Delta Lodge at Kananaskis for their Easter weekend. We went last year and it was absolutely AMAZING!
It’s the perfect family weekend trip – close to Calgary but still very much in nature. They have so many great activities for kids too – tons of crafts, movie nights, outdoor games, bingo, nature walks, petting zoo, smores and of course EGG HUNTS! Plus there’s a great pool with an indoor-outdoor hot tub. Oh, and kids 6 and under EAT FREE! I know I sound like an advertisement for them but seriously, this place is pretty awesome for Easter. We spent years and years doing brunch at the Palliser and this beats it HANDS DOWN.
Their website isn’t the best, but I’ve uploaded the weekend PDF for anyone who’d like to take a look at all the activities.
And in case you feel like getting crafty – here’s my Easter Pinterest board – NONE of which I’ve done. But please feel free to be a better parent than I. LOL!
