Two years ago, I put out a call to clients for models for a project I was thinking about undertaking. I wanted to start doing more women’s portraiture – not boudoir which I had done in the past but not quite glamour photography either. Just beautiful portraits of women.
Now, when I am insanely busy with both life and work – I am revisiting this idea. The new house is having a studio built into it (YAY!) and I will finally have the ability to make these ideas into reality. I absolutely loved doing boudoir – but I felt the market here in Calgary got very saturated, and it was such a specific market. I had my own boudoir images done once, and might possibly again, but I know a lot of women who are very uncomfortable with the idea of being unclothed. I love the idea of women’s portraits that are simple, clean and comfortable but are also gorgeous.
Lena is one of my favourite clients and models – and I think she epitomizes what I would like to do for other women.
