Last week I had some chocolate coated pretzels with candy canes on them and it was pretty much the best thing ever. I thought I may be able to recreate such a thing, and I did! Easily and tastily!
First, I melted some Wilton Candy Melts in my Wilton Chocolate Pro melter. I am BIG on making things easy on myself, and I really like how the melts taste. I got some festive candy cane flavored melts and they were delish!
Then I unwrapped 100 mini candy canes. This is where I went stupid. I should have gotten big ones so I didn’t have to unwrap so many. The girls helped me though and we got to chat while doing it. Then I tormented the new chihuahua by pulverizing the candy canes in my food chopper.
After that it was just dip the pretzel bites in the melted candy, roll in crushed candy canes and set on parchment paper. Each bite took about 10 minutes to set completely. It was a totally easy and fun Sunday baking activity that the girls participated in with gusto. They’re about half gone a day later because they are so addicting and tasty!
