The countdown is over and I’m super proud to unveil the NEW Fresh Sugar Photography website: www.freshsugar.com.
I absolutely love it, I think it still showcases the bright, colourful Fresh Sugar style but also has a more grown-up feel that reflects our fabulous clients!

One thing you might notice is the address – I’m now the proud owner of freshsugar.com – which literally took 6 years to get! www.freshsugar.ca is still around, but will send you to the .com. So it’s easier than ever to get to the site!
The new site has a new look, new photos, a new gallery and videos! Have I mentioned that it’s new?

The new gallery is called the heartwork and it’s a gallery dedicated to my own first photography loves – my children. I always have such a great response when I blog images of my girls, and I’ve decided to have a gallery just for them. Here you will find funny moments, and some of my more out of the box and creative work.

Be sure to take a look at the video section to see some examples of client videos I’ve done this past year. Video is always free of charge to include with your session, and a slideshow of video and images is complimentary at purchases of $3500 and over. The videos are designed to just be little tiny additions to your session to help document this moment in time.

To celebrate the new website, we are giving away a SUPER fantastic prize: a 16GB Apple iPad. I got an iPad last month from the US, and have been addicted to it ever since. As I’ve mentioned before, I will be starting photography mentoring in January 2010 at twophotogs.com. Part of the mentoring will include professional videos that we are filming this month!
I am looking for models for the videos – one pregnant mama-to-be: between 30-34 weeks, one newborn baby: under two weeks (so you are preferably pregnant now, or are giving birth while reading this) and one child : anywhere from 6 months to 5 years old. (must be able to sit unassisted)
The filming will take 1-2 hours, and will showcase me doing a session. There will be no cost for the sessions and models will be compensated with 10-15 digital images. If you or anyone you know is interested, please email me at info@freshsugar.ca

I have some new, super cool things to share in the next couple of weeks. If you have an iPhone, or are getting one – you’ll definitely want to hear this! Also, a new site is in the works, with lots of cool new twists. And for photographers, something ELSE fun and new is in the works!

Finally, I mentioned last week about being on CityTV. It was crazy, the segment ran 5 times that day! I was almost sick of seeing myself. Almost. Ha ha! This morning I got a Google alert for my name, it looks like someone liked the clip enough to post it online. So I’m sharing it with all of you here that asked about seeing it. Quality’s not the best, but you’ll get the idea. Now it’s back to work for me, I have 14 galleries to get online, and 4 more sessions this weekend. It’s a busy, busy time right now for a Calgary photographer!

And because no post is complete without a photo, here are a few of my own little first grader. Yes, this is seriously how she dresses all the time. She’s a little diva, and we battle over clothes a lot. That’s my headband that she stole to wear to school. If she’s like this now, what will she be like at 16?
