When we were on vacation in Turks and Caicos, the earthquake struck Haiti and because we were only about 150 miles away, we were on a tsunami watch. It was scary to think about, but even scarier to think about all the people in Port-au-Prince. Even while we were on vacation, my mind was thinking of all the ways I could help when I got back home.
Enter YYC4Haiti. A small group of caring Calgarians has turned into something big, with a huge “tweet-up” tomorrow evening at Flames Central. Yes, even Twitter has endorsed YYC4Haiti. I’m very pleased to be one of the donators to the silent auction and raffle taking place tomorrow. If you’ve been thinking about a session with me, this is the perfect time – I’ve donated a complete session along with the DVD of images which is a $2750 value. All for Haiti relief. ***UPDATE*** – I just got word that my donation will actually be a top prize in the raffle, along with a 4 night trip to Kelowna and tickets for 2 anywhere WestJet flies. I really want to go down tonight and try to win, but with my luck I would win my own gift certificate, lol! Actually, I would love to go down there but I can’t get a sitter for tonight.
