Now that we’ve all had the new iPhone for awhile, I’m interested to hear what people think of it.
What are your favorite apps?
Here are my fave free ones:
I was a big fan of Shazam, but now my new fave is Midomi! It’s a song-recognition app that not only names music that is playing (just like Shazam) but also lets you sing or hum and will link you to the song on both YouTube and iTunes. Bad singers beware – it won’t be easy to find your song if you are off-key.
All the boys seem to get a kick out of PhoneSaber, which turns your iPhone into a virtual lightsaber complete with sounds and different colors.
Twitterific is a great little app for those of you who have become addicted to finding out what your friends are doing every second of the day.
Tap Tap Revenge is a super fun game that reminds me a bit of Elite Beat Agents for Nintendo DS.
As for $$$ apps, these are the ones I like so far:
Super Monkey Ball – very cool use of the iPhone’s accelerometer. Not as easy as I thought it would be either.
Texas Hold ‘Em – Not too bad, I’ve found a lot of computer poker games to be fairly predictable, but so far this one is pretty good.
Crash Bandicoot – pretty fun racing game, takes some getting used to – a la Mario Kart on the Wii.
I love Bejeweled on the internet, loved it on my video iPod, and now love it even more on my iPhone. The new format makes it super easy to do the jewel switch, something that was too tricky on the iPod. When they get Zuma on this thing prepare to never hear from me again. LOL!
I’m looking at Critter Crunch next – so if anyone has it, let me know how it is!
